Hallelujah
A couple of years ago I wrote a song called Hallelujah. Well, I couldn’t really call it a song at that point. That’s because I believe I only had the first verse and chorus recorded. Have you ever started a song, stopped working on it only to pick it up again after being triggered by hearing a word?

I had an idea to write a song describing what it felt like to be saved by God knowing that I wasn’t deserving of his grace. “I’m standing here, wondering how, wondering why, why you saved me. All the things I said, the things I’ve done, you know my past and I’m not worthy.” The song would document past failures that were forgiven through love. Just think about that. We are talking about unconditional love despite our shortcomings.
Shantel Graces
I met Shantel through a singer that I had been working with on a number of songs that I had written. I knew that her voice would be a perfect match for what I had written so far. The plan was to put a teaser out there to alert the world that I had new music coming out soon. I planned to finish writing the song shortly after the video however I started focusing on other music.

Years later I had completely forgotten about finishing the song. I happened to be driving to Chantilly, VA for a meeting and I needed something to listen to as I sat in traffic. An audio version of the bible was playing the book of Revelations. I forget what chapter I was listening to but I do remember hearing the word “hallelujah” jump out to me several times. God was sending me a message to record and release the song I had forgotten about.
Alisha Bender
My wife mentioned that she worked with a young lady that had a beautiful voice. Her name, Alisha. I asked my wife to have her send me a recording of her singing. Once I heard it I knew that I wanted to record the song. So I reached out directly to Alisha to get the ball rolling.
Mario Santilli
It was time to find a producer that could help bring this soulful concept alive. Mario Santilli did not disappoint with his creativity and professionalism. As a result of his grind, we will be working on something new soon.

Don’t be surprised if you hear Hallelujah on a commercial or movie or two in the near future. Thanks to a couple of music publishing opportunities, the possibilities are endless.
